Energy and sustainable development agency of Modena (AESS) implemented the final STEPPING event on the Week of bio-architecture and sustainability.
On last 15th November the final STEPPING event organized by AESS took place in Modena within the so called yearly event “BioArchitecture and Sustainability Week”. The STEPPING session especially tackled juridical, technical and fiscal aspects of EPC contracts in the Italian context. Relevant speakers at national level joined the session, highlighting strengths and weaknesses of the EPC scheme in Italy, also in relation to the new Public Procurement Code and the National Guidelines delivered by ENEA on EPC. Stefano Dotta from Envipark, also partner in the STEPPING project, attended the round table of the session focusing on “Experiences and critical aspects of EPC contracts”. Stefano, passing from the theory to the practice, made the difference through his speech by emphasizing barriers and hurdles they meet in their daily experience of EPC with Municipalities of the Piemonte region as well as by pointing put effective tools (i.e. Technical Commission composed of one Municipality Representative, one ESCO representative and one third party representative) they are for example suggesting to adopt in the M&V phase of the EPC contracts signed by Municipalities Envipark has been technically assisting.
The session definitely succeeded either in terms of participation numbers (more than 50 people attended the seminar) or in terms of positive feedbacks AESS gathered in the days after the seminar from the participants.
