Regional Development Agency Gorenjska, BSC Kranj attended the SISMA project final conference "Making energy investments bankable – Opportunities for public buildings".
On the 21st of June 2018, BSC Kranj participated at project SISMA final conference »Making energy investments bankable – Opportunities for public buildings« that took place in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Local public authorities, ESCOs and banks presented challenges and solutions to finance energy efficiency for public buildings in the Mediterranean area. The event was hosted by the Slovenian project partner Golea, Local Energy Agency.
One of the most tangible outcomes of the SISMA project presented during the conference is the Subsidy Evaluation Tool - SET Model - an innovative solution to quickly perform energy and economic-financial assessment of energy savings measures. It serves to assess bankability and market readiness of investments in deep energy retrofitting of public buildings more effectively. Target users are most of all public administrations that want to make energy refurbishment projects on their buildings more attractive to ESCOs.
International market operators introduced new financing schemes that help to overcome current market barriers and possible priority investments in the market. Exchange of experiences and core debate was made around the key question - which are the best ways to make deep renovation of public buildings bankable? Successful event ended with a study visit to Inter-Company Training Centre.
