STEPPING project was presented during the Agora session on the conference organized by the Interreg MED Programme managed by the Region of Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, together with the Managing Authority of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes in Greece, which took place on 24th October 2019, in Athens, Greece.
Silvio De Nigris, project manager of STEPPING project presented STEPPING project results reached by nine partners from seven countries of Mediterranean Area for testing new approach of application of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) scheme.
On the conference the results of the projects were presented around two questions directly linked to the objectives of the European cohesion policy: "How to survive climate change?” and “Which drivers for a sustainable and inclusive growth?”.
The second act of #MEDforYOU event was dedicated to a debate on post 2020 and the added value of European territorial cooperation in the Mediterranean. In light of the current and future landscape of the Mediterranean cooperation, also the question of the Interreg MED Programme was addressed. The current programming period is coming to an end. The afternoon session of the conference was dedicated to the discussion about the future of European territorial cooperation in the Mediterranean region. How we can improve synergies and territorial impact for a prosperous and sustainable Mediterranean.
The event #MEDforYOU raised out many interesting and actual topics, ideas for future cooperation and was also a great opportunity to share gained knowledge, experiences and contacts.
